These Behind-The-Scenes Images From ‘Stranger Things’ Season 1 Will Get You Ready For Season 2

Caution: This Article Contains Spoilers From Season 1 Of Stranger Things

Can someone just place me in the Upside Down until October?

As we eagerly await the newest season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, the good folks behind the official Stranger Things Twitter account have provided us with some behind-the-scenes images from its first season. The pictures feature some of our favorite actors from the series breaking character to pose — and possibly goof-off — for a photo while they let loose.

Nothing is better than seeing the inner workings of popular shows/movies and the talented individuals who grace the screen. This sentiment rings true especially when the series is as much of a phenomenon as Stranger Things is offering us a behind-the-scenes look at what it was like to shoot Season 1. Using the hashtag #StrangerThursdays, the show’s official Twitter unleashed the photos on us all, using some helpful Do’s and Don’t’s tips accompanied by the Stranger Things pictures and GIFs. Here are some of the best that feature bts shots.

Nancy Epitomizes “Words Will Never Break Me”

Natalia Dyer (who portrays Nancy) and crew brush off the horrid words spray painted across the film marquee for All The Right Moves as seen in Episode 6, “The Monster.”

Steve’s Beauty Knows No Boundaries

Even in the aftermath of a bloody fight (in the same episode as above) Joe Keery’s (Steve) hair remains perfectly coiffed. The handsome talent flashes a million dollar smile, prompting this twitter user to accurately express my thoughts during this grueling wait:

Solid Advice For Any Eggos Shoplifters

It’s interesting that this is what is deemed “acting natural” for a potential shop lifter, however Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) clearly knows more about acting than I will ever know so I trust their judgement. Eleven’s Eggo-and-pink-dress ensemble is certainly one of the more popular icons to come out of the series, garnering Halloween costume acclaim and different iterations of Funko pop figures.

Behold The Glory Of MiLeven

The generous Gods in charge of the twitter account knows what we want to see: adorable behind-the-scenes shots of IT’s Finn Wolfhard (Mike) and Brown. The relationship between their two characters truly was the heart of the #Netflix series, causing fans to creatively invent the ship name, “Mileven.”

This group of blooper shots caused a massive response from fans because they are just so adorable together. Despite how successful the series becomes, the young actors are still kids who occasionally can’t control the need to pull the classic Bunny Ears behind a friend’s head. Many simply couldn’t contain their excitement at seeing the pictures:

Others are wondering when we can expect an actual blooper reel because hysterical bloopers are truly the key to the hearts of legions of fans:

… If you’re curious about the “kissing sucks” reference in the above tweet, make sure you see the the interview from the time the Stranger Things cast visited The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

And this final tweet is probably my favorite one because it is the one that speaks for us all:

Season 2 of Stranger Things releases on Netflix on October 27th, 2017. In the meantime, check out its brilliantly atmospheric trailer below:

3 Reasons Why Millie Bobby Brown Is Destined To Be The Next Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman has given consistently spectacular performances throughout her 20+ year career as an A-list actress. Her performances range from the career-defining, as seen in her portrayal of a woman desperately trying to achieve perfection with her Academy Award-winning performance in 2010’s Black Swan or 2016’s nominated Jackie. She also doesn’t shy away from silly flicks like Your Highness or playing Ashton Kutcher‘s freaking friend with benefit! If Natalie Portman appears in anything, you are in for a treat.

Millie Bobby Brown experienced her breakout role portraying Eleven in the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things and at only 13 years old at the time of this article, Brown seems to be on a trajectory headed for greatness. Portman was 13 when she starred in her breakout role as Mathilda in Luc Besson‘s 1994 brilliant crime drama, Léon: The Professional. Brown’s feature film debut is slated to be in the highly anticipated sequel, Godzilla: King Of Monsters.

Here are three similarities shared between the two incredible actresses. If she continues choosing great roles and staying all-around incredible, we may be having similar Oscar talks for Brown as we’ve been having for Portman.

1. Being An Incredible Talent At An Early Age

This is arguably the most important aspect to Brown. Natalie Portman’s portrayal of Mathilda in The Professional is up there in the discussion for the greatest child acting of all-time. Young Portman took that incredibly intimidating role and managed to hold her own against acting heavyweights. One of the reasons (among many) why Brown is so beloved in Stranger Things is because of how she managed to take the role of Eleven and make it entirely her own. The role requires a tremendous amount of work that ranges from major emotionally-heavy sequences to the light-hearted fun moments many 13 year old actresses can simply not pull off the way Brown has.

2. Fantastic Interviewing Skills

Natalie Portman’s appearances on the iconic Late Show With David Letterman spanned two decades leading up to his final show in 2015. In 1996, a 14 year old Portman appeared on the show and in the very beginning of the interview she made a quick yet hilarious jab at Letterman’s age (~0:46):

“I’ve been alive as long as your show’s been going on…”

Appearing on televised talk shows can be wildly intimidating for anyone, let alone a young person. Having the ability to banter with a host is a talent in and of itself and for what we have seen thus far with Brown, she is slaying in the interview department.

From showcasing her inner Nicki Minaj by rapping on Jimmy Fallon to her recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the man who (interestingly enough) took over the gig from Letterman, Brown’s humor is another trait of hers that makes you want to see her succeed. Watching her describe her terror for bungalows is just fantastic (~3:51):

“It’s a house with no stairs…”

3. They. Look. Exactly. The. Same.

Anyone who claims Millie Bobby Brown and Natalie Portman does not share similar facial features is a liar. Does looking like your celebrity counterpart say something about one’s professional talent? No. Is it something fun to bring up when discussing how fantastic Millie Bobby Brown is? Yes.

Please view the conclusions of my scientifically-conducted googling:

Exhibit A: Short Hair, Don’t Care

Exhibit B: This comparison garnered a “whoa!”

Exhibit C: Portman at 13 Years Old, Brown at 12.

Exhibit D: Brown at the Golden Globe Awards rocking a similar facial expression as Portman in Jackie.

Final Exhibit: After posing a challenge to disagree with her, I simply cannot argue with this Twitter user.

Regardless what Millie Bobby Brown decides to pursue in the future, I am sure we all want to see this bright and intelligent talent succeed in whatever she strives for. Natalie Portman also isn’t going anywhere, I will look forward to every single project she announces from here to eternity.

Would you want to see Brown and Portman collaborate in the future?
